ALFREDO LUCHO LOPEZ OROPEZA was born in the city of Huaraz, located at the feet of the Cordillera Blanca and Negra, in the department of Ancash. He began his involvement with the activities comprising adventure sports when still quite young. He accomplished the studies for his profession at the center for high mountain studies in Huaraz. This institute is devoted to the formal education and training necessaly to become acertified mountain guide. Lucho Lopez possesses vast knowledge of the entire Cordillera Blanca and Cordillera Huayhuash region, and the adventure sports practiced there in.
Lucho Lopez is currently attending mountain rescue courses organized by the casa de guias in Huaraz to broaden his knowledge; and is also participating in actual mountain rescue incidents.
Lucho Lopez has worked with American, European, and Peruvian businesses; and by doing so, has obtained sufficient knowledge and experiences to have acquired recommendations from them. Presently he leads groups of both trekkers and climbers, while constantly improving the the high quality of his guiding services that he provides to these visitors. |
